Bidding on the day
In order to comply with anti-money laundering regulations, we require all buyers to provide us with proof of identity and of current residential address. In all cases, buyers must present the following documents:

1.     A photographic identity document such as a current valid passport or UK driving licence;

2.     A utility bill or bank statement or credit card statement that has been issued within the last three months and that provides evidence of residency at the correspondence address.

If a bidder is acting as an agent of another party, he or she will be required to provide the above documents for both themselves and for the principal for whom they act, as well as provide a valid letter of authority from the principal authorising them to bid on their behalf. If a bidder is acting on behalf of a company, the above documents will still be required, along with written authority from that company.

Method of payment
Please note that all successful bidders will be required to provide a 10% deposit (subject to a minimum deposit of £2,000, unless otherwise stated in the catalogue or legal pack) upon signing the auction contract of sale.
Personal cheques drawn on UK bank accounts are accepted. Payments by debit card are also accepted, subject to the maximum amount allowed by your bank – make sure you verify this prior to attending the auction.

Pre-Auction Registrations

We are accepting pre-registrations for bidders ahead of the auction. In order to pre-register and obtain your unique bidding number, please contact us on 01702 311010 and provide your name, address and telephone number together with details of your solicitors and the lot or lots you are interested in bidding for. The advantage of pre-registration is to save time queuing on the day – the registration desk will be busy.
Proxy and Telephone bidding
We also accept bids by proxy and by telephone. In order to arrange this, contact us for further details. Please note that deposit cheques/BACS payments for proxy/telephone bids must be received by the morning of the auction.
